Hi Jill,
Attached is a picture of Ibo about a week ago at 10 weeks, it is a
bad picture so I will have to get some better ones before I would
recomend putting it on your website. Ibo is really doing great he
still has 100% house training record which is amazing to me and
others I have talked to. It is funny when I walk him in town everyone
stops me and comments on how adorable he is and several people have
asked where I got him. His ears are up for the most part as you can
see in the picture so I dont think that will be a problem. He is
extremely attached to me and I just love his personality , he also
loves people in general. His intelligence is really starting to come
out and I can see he is a very logical thinker , for example if I
throw a ball and it rolls under the low table he will stop short and
go around it to retreive the ball . He basicly has the
"come" "sit" and "stay" commands down
and when we are somewhere else but home he is completly obedient with
those comman!
I look forward to getting him in some more intense training when he
gets older and for now work with the basics, he seems extremely
trainable. I will keep you posted on his progress and get some better
pictures. Thanks again for breeding such a great dog. All The Best

Jill,
Thanks for the update. Mia is doing great. The groomer
last month who saw her for the first time said over and over,
"She was excellent!" She said the other two were okay
or fine.
Mia goes with me in my truck most every day to take Whitney to and
from school, ride with me to rentals, and to the barn to feed
horses. She is socialable with other dogs who come to our house
with visitors. She stays nearby but loves to chase the
rabbits. MOst of the time at night she sleeps on my bed with
the other two pups. Whitney swears she understands the concept
of tag and who is "it". She unfortunatley opens doors
of every kind in the house, including dead bolts and sliding glass
doors. She opens the front door when visitors ring the door
bell but they usual don't enter until we are there beside her.
she is getting big. Sometimes we call her "Mia Osita"
or my little bear. She has a huge moan like she is carrying the
weight of the world on her shoulders. We laugh. Whitney
said she does it because of the laughter. She follows me
everywhere in the house.
Once I was renting a duplex, the guy brought a cousin and asked if
the cousin could share the place with him. Mia was sniffing his
shoes like crazy and just obsessed with his feet. I asked if he
had any criminal or eviction history. He admitted
"past" drug history. He said she must be facinated
with his shoes because he was a cook. I had just completed a
contract in the back of that restaurant the week before, the
cook gave Mia a treat, and she paid no attention to that person's
feet. I am sure the guy had drugs in his shoes. He was
denied permission.
Have a story about a car jack attempt with a panhandler too. He
approached my truck angrily slamming his sign on my windshield then
suddenly left. She never barked or growled but I think he saw
her in the back seat quietly watching and he split. She barked
once as a puppy when a guy was snooping in the back of my truck
downtown. He split too.
The vet said to keep her friendly that the breed was enough to
intimidate people. I find people either love shepards from
personal experience or they are scared to death of them from scenes
on tv.
A security guy told me she was too friendly and would not be a good
guard dog but I don't believe it. Try something is what I would
say. She is protective of Max (15 pounds) when I bathe
him. If Murphy yeps from being hurt(arthiritis) she is right
there. I banged my hand on a desk and hurt it badly and she was
all over me trying to help. She lets me know if the cat gets
outside at night, and when the pump went out spewing water all over
the roof at midnight. She keeps the horses in their stalls if
the door is open and they try to wonder out inside the barn where
they don't belong.
Anyhow, we love our Mia. Puppy kindergarten at Mesa was
great. I really should take her for some more training.
Any place you recommend?

Jill,
Thought you would be interested in how Leeza is doing. Her movement
is spectacular, sound as can be. She works the herding animals
for me and just seems to read my mind, she always chases the one I
want, uncanny, so I can get a hold of it.Her temperment is only
exceeded by her loyalty and beauty,we all love her, my boys think she
is the greatest dog.Just wanted you to know. She is happy and loves
living in the country.

Jill,
Caine has turned out to be the best dog I have ever owned. He
is very gentle with the kids and he is very affectionate. I
will try to keep you in the loops with photos!

Jill,
Jake is really settling in and starts his training with Denise Coyne
next Sunday. You were right, of course, he is still very vocal.
He does have such a nice temperament around strangers and other
dogs. Just wanted to let you know you can't have him back. LOL

Hi Jill,
Gia is doing great. She has finally grown-up and is filling out
a little. She loves to play hide and seek-and she's really good
at it too. We haven't had time to do another obedience class
yet, but would like to get back into that again as soon as we have
more time off work. Congratulations on the puppies, we can't
wait to see pictures! I'll send you a picture of Gia soon; I
still have to download my most recent ones.
Take care

Hi Jill.
Just wanted to update you on purple boy. I think his name will
be General, but I sometimes just call him chubby. He is doing
excellent. Gia LOVES him, and he LOVES her! She brings
him toys to play with and kisses his face. He has made all his
pee and poop outside. He sleeps most of the time, but he will
wrestle with Gia too! We are enjoying him a lot.
Thanks for the Great Puppy

FYI: Gia is General's big sister from last years litter. |

Hi Jill,
It's been a little while so I thought I'd catch you up on how the
beautiful boy is doing. We're still training, & though I don't
have him where I want yet for regular obedience, I have entered him
in Rally novice in the Mtn. States show May 5 & 6.
Today I did something I've been wanting to do for a while. I took him
to the house of a friend who has a pistol to see how he'd react to
gunshots. He did just as I expected. He alerted & was interested
but not at all afraid...a perfect response according to the
temperament test society. A little later he spotted a beagle in a
yard across the street. He didn't lunge or bark, but he was very
interested. He had his head up, chest thrown out, & free stacked
at keen attention. I wish I had had my camera along. He was
positively breathtaking. He is a quiet boy, but is starting to find
his voice. He will bark to protect both the house & the car,
which I want, but then settles down when I tell him to.
Our 13 year old grandson spent the week before Easter with us. Poor
"Theo the Terrified" almost had a nervous breakdown, but
Konrad & especially Erich absolutely loved him. They played
together all week & had a wonderful time. Thanks again for the
early socialization involving kids. He's wonderful with them.
And speaking of kids, I took him into Dick's Sporting Goods store
today. He was a perfect gentleman while I tried on shoes, holding his
downstay & politely accepting all the attention he drew. A young
couple with a tiny girl (probably about Erich's age) came by & he
lay quietly while she petted him only moving to give her a gentle
kiss. He really is what I'd call "bombproof" temperamentally.
I don't know how he does it, but he just seems to keep on getting
better & more beautiful. I absolutely adore him.

Hi Jill,
Heres Dillon a little over two years now, and still a
kid. Hes an awesome dog. As attached as I was to my
previous dog, good breeding and good early socialization really make
the difference.

Hi Jill,
I apologize for not getting a note off to you sooner. I keep
waiting until I have a picture to send you, but as our digital camera
is broken, our pictures are always a bit behind. I am attaching
a picture from Greg's phone, and will send a clearer one when I get
some more film developed.
Ranger is wonderful! He is a very good boy, and his training is
going well. We have him in a class with Gigi Moss, a trainer
here in Boulder that was highly recommended to us. Ranger is a
very smart boy and is learning quickly. He has been great with
the kids and they all love him like crazy. He loves to chase
his kong and soft frisbee, and gets so excited when we get the
frisbee out that he whines and cries.
He is a beautiful dog. His ears are standing. We take him
on lots of walks at an open space area nearby, where he can be off
leash, and there are always other dogs to play with. Everytime
we go there at least one person tells us what a beautiful shepherd he is!
Thanks so much for our wonderful boy, he is a terrific addition to
our family, and we love him more every day.

Hi Jill,
Well, I''ve had these photos for a while and I'm finally getting them
off to you. That is Lexi at about 4 1/2 months. She is
doing great. Pretty darn smart and full of life. She
enjoys her walks, toys and loves to fetch. She is a goof ball
with the hose (water), like to try to bite the stream of water but
has recently experienced water in a different way - she went swimming
at the Boulder reservoir. Anyway, she is a lot of fun and
provides a lot of pleasure.
As of a few days ago (say 51/2 months) she was weighing 48 pounds -
wow. She is looking like her mom Palie and her fur is still
soft which is nice.

Hi Jill,
It's been forever since we've spoken and now since you've seen Gunny
(Gunther). He's magnificent still and of course, our large lap
dog. Some days I wonder when he'll stop thinking he's a little
baby. I need to send you the video you loaned us many months
ago now on Schutzhund - will get that in the mail within the next
week, promise.
Sending you baby pics from the first few weeks (so you can see how
spoiled he is ;-)) and current pics. Where there are two, not
that you wouldn't recognize him, but he's the 'big' dark one!
It's so hard to believe he's only almost 10 months old.
Thank you for such a great addition to our family - we absolutely
love him! Will give you a better update soon, just swamped and
feeling very guilty for not sending you pics sooner.
